Unidentifed Photographs from Emma Staack's Albums
There were two heavy velvet covered albums that were in Hildred (Thurow) Wilson's possession when she died. It is assumed that she received this from her mother, Emma (Staack) Thurow. Hopefully, we can identify some of these pictures and moved them out of this album to other, identified picture albumes

This may be a portrait of Sara (Grover) Staack, wife of Gustavus Staack. She was born in 1861 so she would have been 25 at the time of the portrait.

Colberg is now Kołobrzeg, West Pomerania, Poland. It was once in Prussia.

Because of the origin of this photograph, it is probably a relative of Louis Thurow, husband of Emma (Staack) Thurow since he apparently came from this town.

Louis Thurow, husband of Emma Staack, was from Colberg, Pomerania (now Kolobrzeg, Poland), which is east of Holstein where Mathias Staack came from. This photograph may, therefore, be of a Thurow ancestor rather than a Staack relative.

This could be a picture of Mary Louise Staack, daughter of Carl E. and Augusta (Warner) Nelson Bros. operated at 75 East Third Street in St. Paul from 1889 to 1891. Mary Louise was born in 1883 so she would have been about seven years old at the time this photograph was taken.
