Notes:

Margaret was born on October 17, 1916 in Walla Walla, WA. During World War II she installed cockpit gauges on the Black Widow (P-38) Fighter planes at McChord Airforce Base in Tacoma, WA. After the war Margaret was employed as a secretary to the head dietician at Firlands Sanitarium on 15th Ave NE, in North Seattle, WA. She eventually assumed the position of Head Dietician and worked there until the facility was closed.

She was then employed by the Boeing Company as a secretary in the Minuteman Missile Program. By completing additional schooling she was obtained a top secret security clearance on the Missile Program. She was the only woman in the engineering class at Boing at that time and was really proud to have been able to pass the course.
She also attended classes at Knapps Business College at night to learn Court Reporting.

For many years she had to endure the discomfort on an improperly set fracture of her hip when she was 17. This resulted in a Total hip replacement surgury. Although she had a number of short term marriages, she was primarily a single parent for most of her 2 daughter's upbringing.

She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was about age 45. She continued to work at Boeing until it became impossible to get around without difficulty. Upon retiring she enjoyed her rose garden and her 2 poodles, Gidget and Coco. She loved music and had always wanted to travel to Hawaii, but this became an impossibility due to the progression of the MS. Although it was a difficult decision, she reluctantly chose to live in a nursing home after the battle with MS became too debilitating. There were several times when we thought she would pass over. But her resilience continued to the very end. Margaret was finally released from this life on May 20, 1995. I loved her dearly.
