Thomas R. Cummings, 58, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at home after a long illness. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of Jane Bell McCotter Cummings and the late Richard M. Cummings. Tom was employed as a graphic designer and printer for the Printing Services for the past 18 years. He was an honorary member of the Woodlawn Sportsman Club, where he loved to compete in their competitions, a member of NRA where he was a pistol range instructor, formerly active with Roamer's Motorcycle Club and the Americade event. He was an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his devoted children, Vicki (Del) Adair, Sharon (Gene) Banks, Terri (Tammy) Holton, Richard (Sylvia) Holton Jr., Edward Holton Sr., Kathleen (Bill) Bohannon and Amy Hallock. Tom is also survived by 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; loving cousins; and many beloved friends. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Judy, she passed away on November 9, 2005. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Memory's Garden in Colonie. There will be no calling hours ..." She was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie Smith. Judy had worked as an operator at the Capital OTB in Schenectady for many years, retiring in 2001. She was formerly active with Roamer's Motorcycle Club and the Americade event. Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Thomas R. Cummings. She was the devoted mother of Vicki (Del) Adair, Sharon (Gene) Banks, Terri (Tammy) Holton, Richard (Sylvia) Holton Jr., Edward (Sherry) Holton Sr. and Kathleen (Bill) Bohannon. She is the beloved step-mother of Amy Hallock. She was the sister of Leda Armstrong and the sister-in-law of Faye Smith. Judy is also survived by 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. Jane Cummings, 92, of Schenectady passed away February 23, 2007, at The Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, on September 30, 1914, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Bell McCotter. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. She was a member of Stanford United Methodist Church. She was a sales associate with Coplon's Department Store for many years, until it's closing. Mrs. Cummings was predeceased by her husband, Richard Cummings, who died in 2003. She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Cummings and daughter-in-law, Judy Cummings. Survivors include her grandchildren, Amy (Sherman) Hallock of Florida, Vicki (Del) Adair, Sharon (Gene) Banks, Terri (Tammy) Holton, Edward Holton, Richard (Silvia) Holton Jr., all of Schenectady , and Kathleen (Bill) Bohannon of Florida; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
