Notes |
- Ada Mesmer 94, of Hermitage formerly of Brookfield, passed away Easter Sunday April 20, 2014 of natural causes at John the XXIII Home following a brief illness.
She was the eighth of eleven children born at home in Brookfield on June 9, 1919 to Rex E. and Elsie (Tribby) Hall. Ada was a 1937 graduate of Brookfield High School and married Carl Mesmer on January 11, 1938. Together they shared fifty-three years before his passing on December 11, 1991.
Ada was a homemaker and a member of the Brookfield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Later in life she drove a Fairhaven school bus for fourteen years. She planned many parties and picnics for her clients and was an avid reader and Cleveland Indians Fan. She was proud to have seen C.C. Sabathia throw his first pitch for the Scrappers baseball game in Niles, OH.
Even at the age ninety-four, Ada's mind was keen knowing all of the birthdays and activities of her eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Sally and Bob Kaiser of Hermitage, PA, June Smith of Newton Falls, OH and her brother Paul Hall of Titusville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Doris Mesmer; son David Mesmer; her parents; six brothers Clyde, Earl, Otto, Carl, Ashton, and Dale Hall; three sisters Laverne Shockey, Doris Hutchison, and Edna Barber; and an infant grandson David Mesmer.
Burial will take place with her family at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
