Age 85 of Saint Paul, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 14, 2015. William received his undergraduate and M.D. from the University of Minnesota and its Medical School, where he later taught. William served as a Captain in the U.S. Army medical corps in Taiwan. He was a partner at the Columbia Park Medical Group where he practiced a career he loved for more than 30 years.

William married Barbara Ruth Welty on 22 Sep 1956 in Winona, Winona County, Minnesota, USA. Barbara (daughter of Earle Henry Welty and Virginia Thompson) was born on 21 May 1933 in Winona, Winona County, Minnesota, USA; died on 8 Oct 2015; was buried in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
