    Ila M. Gimberline was born Dec. 15, 1914 in Hardin Co., IA. She was the second of four children born to Burdette L. and Marie E. (Johnson) Gardner. The family moved shortly after her birth to Freeborn, Freeborn Co., MN.

    On Oct. 6, 1939 she married Milford Gimberline. The couple had three children and resided in Wells, MN. She passed away Oct. 1, 1993.

    She is survived by sons, Dennis Gimberline, Dale Gimberline of CO and Donald Gimberline of IA, and brother, Alfred Gardner of Freeborn, MN.

    She was preceded in death by husband, Milford Gimberline in 1960, father, Burdette Gardner in 1967, mother, Marie Gardner in 1990, brother, Mervin Gardner in 1969 and sister, Norma Rabe.?

    The Gimberlein name was Americanized by most of the family to Gimberlin and Gimberline.

    Freeborn native, Dale C. Gimberline, passed away at age 61 on Nov. 12, 2005, after battling a brain tumor for ten months.

    Dale was raised in Freeborn, MN by his parents, Milford C. and Ila Marie (Gardner) Gimberline on their farm with his two brothers, Dennis and Donald. He attended Freeborn High School and graduated in 1962. He joined the Air Force in 1965 and was stationed in various places including Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. When stationed at Charleston AFB in Charleston, SC, he was Crew Chief and traveled to Germany, Turkey and Greece. Dale was discharged in Dec. 1968 with a rank of Staff Sergeant having worked on planes such as the C-141.

    When stationed in Wichita Falls, TX, he met his wife, Nancy J. (Bonnell) and they married in 1968. Dale and Nancy moved to Edgewater, CO in 1971 where they had three children: Shaun, Michele, and Debbie. Since 1982, Dale had owned and operated his own construction company, Dale's Drywall. Dale was a prominent member of the Edgewater community where he served on the Planning and Zoning board. He helped maintain the small town atmosphere that makes Edgewater so special.

    Dale is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children; and his brothers, Dennis and Donald Gimberline and their families. He has one aunt in FL, Norma Rabe and two aunts that reside in Wells, MN, Berdine Drager and Toni Gimberline.

    He was preceded in death by father, Milford Gimberline in 1960; and mother, Ila Gimberline in 1993.

    Visitation will be Nov. 17 from 5-8 pm, with services at noon Nov. 18, both at Crown Hill Mortuary in Colorado, burial to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery with full military honors. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Metro Denver, 501 S. Cherry St. Suite #700, Denver, CO, 80246 in Dale's memory.

    The Gimberlein name was Americanized by most of the family to Gimberlin and Gimberline.
