    Text Dear Larry and Jane,

Thank you for your kind invitation. I'd love to meet you also but I do not know my way around La Crosse. It has been so many years and then my husband did all the driving.

I was delighted to hear of Hildred's successful surgery. It will be late spring before I get down. I am involved in certain church responsibilities that take me to special conferences. Then I no longer drive alone during unpredictable weather.

As I told you before, all my early married years were spent away from this area where my relations lived and because of special circumstances which I had not control kept most of our extra time in the East, that as East ass Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Illinois.

I worked steadily and had a very ill husband to care for for seventeen years so you can see, and I regret it. I even had difficulty keeping up with my sisters.

But always through it all, Uncle "Doc" was my hero and Rolland one of my favorite cousins. When I went to High School the first question I was asked as I registered was, "Any relation to Rolland and Sylvia Wilson?" I was constantly reminded I had to keep up the good name.

Again, I invite you to drive here and visit me. I have a two bedroom apartment and extra sleeping space and my sister is only two miles away.

God Bless you all, and may we meet soon.
